World Malayalee Council – Gujarat Province

(From birth to present: an overview)

 In Gujarat, the need for an organization of the most distinguished Malayalees in the Pravasi community that transcends caste, creed, color, politics, language, and international distinctions has long existed. Mr. Dinesh Nair and his friends who worked in various social organizations in Gujarat who understood the need for a change from other organizations came out with the unique idea of World Malayalee Council that works above all cast, creed and other dividing criteria even at international level. Prominent Gujarati Malayalees Shri Mohan Nair, Shri TK Thulaseedharan, Shri John Geevarghese, Padma Shri PI John Shri. Devaraj and Shri Shailesh Nair fully supported the idea. Thus, it was decided to bring together Gujarat’s top and most talented business leaders in the administrative and technical ranks under one umbrella and to work with them within the scope of work of the World Malayalee Council, which was born in New Jersey, USA in July 1995.

World Malayalee Council: – An Overview

 WMC is a secular and non-political community organization that provides a global connectivity that fosters friendship and community among Malayalees around the world by providing multiple platforms for training, empowerment, service, support and charity. 

The WMC has a well-defined and efficiently structured organization that has provinces in 40 countries and is included in six regions as listed below.

  1. World Malayalee Council America – Continent of North, South America and Caribbean Islands
  2. World Malayalee Council Europe – Europe Continent 
  1. World Malayalee Council Africa – African Continent 
  1. World Malayalee Council Middle East – All Gulf countries, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran. 
  1. World Malayalee Council India – India, Sri Lanka, Mali, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. 
  1. World Malayalee Council for East & Australia – Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Philippines, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, China, Japan, Fiji. 

In short, the main objective of this organization is to provide a non-political forum to bring together the widely dispersed community of people of Malayalee / Kerala descent and to strengthen the common ties of culture, tradition and way of life.

വേൾഡ് മലയാളീ കൌൺസിൽ – ഗുജറാത്ത് പ്രൊവിൻസ്

സമുദായത്തിലെ പ്രഗത്ഭരായ പേരും പെരുമയും ആർജിച്ച മലയാളികളെ മാത്രം കൂട്ടിയിണക്കി ജാതി-മത-വർണ-രാഷ്ട്രീയ- ഭാഷ – രാജ്യരാജ്യാന്തര വൈവിധ്യ ങ്ങൾക്കു ഉപരിയായി ഒരു സംഘടനയുടെ ആവശ്യം വളരെക്കാലം മുതലേ ഗുജറാത്തിൽ  നിലനിന്നിരുന്നു. മറ്റു സംഘടനകളിൽ നിന്നും ഒരു മാറ്റത്തിന്റെ  ആവശ്യകത മനസ്സിലിക്കിയ  ഗുജറാത്തി ലെ വിവിധ സാമൂഹിക സംഘടനകളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരുന്ന  ശ്രീ ദിനേശ് നായർ, ജാതി – മത – വർണ – രാഷ്ട്രീയ – ഭാഷ – രാജ്യരാജ്യാന്തരങ്ങൾക്കു അതീതമായ  വേൾഡ് മലയാളി കൗൺസിൽ എന്ന പ്രവാസികളുടെ സ്വന്തമായ സംഘടനയെ പറ്റിയുള്ള  ഈ ആശയം  മുന്നോട്ടു വച്ചപ്പോൾ  ഗുജറാത്തിലെ പ്രഗൽഭ മലയാളികളായ ശ്രീ മോഹൻ നായർ, ശ്രീ ടി .കെ .തുളസീധരൻ,   ശ്രീ ജോൺ ഗീവർഗീസ്,  പദ്മശ്രീ പി .ഐ. ജോൺ ശ്രീ. ദേവരാജ്, ശ്രീ ശൈലേഷ്  നായർ തുടങ്ങിയവർ ആ ആശയത്തെ പൂർണമായി പിന്താങ്ങുകയും അങ്ങിനെ ഗുജറാത്തിലെ ഉന്നതരും പ്രഗത്ഭരുമായ വ്യവസായ പ്രമുഖർ  ഭരണ, സാങ്കേതിക തലങ്ങളിൽ ഉയർന്ന പദവിയിലുള്ളവർ തുടങ്ങിയവരെ  ഒരു കുടക്കീഴിലാക്കി  ജൂലൈ 1995  അമേരിക്കയിലെ ന്യൂ ജേഴ്സിയിൽ ജന്മം കൊണ്ട  വേൾഡ് മലയാളീ കൌൺസിൽ എന്ന സഘടനയുടെ  പ്രവർത്തന പരിധിയിൽ അവരോടൊപ്പം ചേർന്ന് പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ  തീരുമാനമായി.

വേൾഡ് മലയാളീ കൌൺസിൽ:- ഒരു അവലോകനം

പരിശീലനം, ശാക്തീകരണം, സേവനം, പിന്തുണ, ചാരിറ്റി എന്നിവയ്ക്കായി നിരവധി പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകൾ നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള മലയാളികൾ ക്കിടയിൽ സൗഹൃദവും കൂട്ടായ്മയും വളർത്തുന്ന ഒരു ആഗോള കണക്റ്റിവിറ്റി നൽകുന്ന ഒരു മതേതര, രാഷ്ട്രീയേതര സമുദായ സംഘടനയാണ് ഡബ്ല്യുഎംസി.


ഡബ്ല്യു‌എം‌സിക്ക് നന്നായി നിർവചിക്കപ്പെട്ടതും കാര്യക്ഷമമായി ഘടനാപര വുമായ ഒരു സംഘടനയുണ്ട്, 40 രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവിശ്യകളുണ്ട്, അവ ചുവടെ ലിസ്റ്റുചെയ്‌തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആറ് പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

  1. വേൾഡ് മലയാളി കൗൺസിൽ മിഡിൽ ഈസ്റ്റ് – എല്ലാ ഗൾഫ് രാജ്യങ്ങളും, ഇസ്രായേൽ, ലെബനൻ, സിറിയ, ഇറാഖ്, ഇറാൻ.
  1. വേൾഡ് മലയാളി കൗൺസിൽ ഇന്ത്യ – ഇന്ത്യ, ശ്രീലങ്ക, മാലി, ബംഗ്ലാദേശ്, മ്യാൻമർ, നേപ്പാൾ, പാകിസ്ഥാൻ, അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാൻ, ഉസ്ബെക്കിസ്ഥാൻ.
  1. വേൾഡ് മലയാളി കൗൺസിൽ ഫാർ ഈസ്റ്റ് & ഓസ്‌ട്രേലിയ – മലേഷ്യ, സിംഗപ്പൂർ, ഇന്തോനേഷ്യ, ഓസ്‌ട്രേലിയ, ഫിലിപ്പീൻസ്, ന്യൂസിലാൻഡ്, പാപുവ ന്യൂ ഗിനിയ, തായ്‌ലൻഡ്, വിയറ്റ്‌നാം, ലാവോസ്, കംബോഡിയ, ചൈന, ജപ്പാൻ, ഫിജി ദ്വീപുകൾ.

ഈ സംഘടനയുടെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യം സംക്ഷിപ്തമായി പറഞ്ഞാൽ, മലയാളി/കേരളീയ വംശജരായ ആളുകളുടെ വ്യാപകമായി ചിതറിക്കിടക്കുന്ന സമൂഹത്തെ ഒരുമിച്ച് ചേർക്കുന്നതിനും സംസ്കാരത്തിന്റെയും പാരമ്പര്യ ത്തിന്റെയും ജീവിതരീതി യുടെയും പൊതുവായ ബന്ധങ്ങൾ ശക്തിപ്പെടു ത്തുന്നതിനും ഒരു രാഷ്ട്രീയേതര ഫോറം നൽകുക എന്നതാണ്.

The Main Goals

 The World Malayalee Council should provide a meeting point for interested Malayalees around the world to open up new possibilities for their economic, political, social development and better understanding by highlighting the rich cultural, economic, political and social values ​​inherited from them.

To stimulate the World Malayalee Council and the Malayalee community, especially the State of Kerala, to facilitate a dynamic link between the experience, expertise and entrepreneurship of Malayalees in developing and developed countries. 

To identify and recognize the skills, abilities and intelligence of Malayalees at the World Malayalee Council globally and to mobilize them for professional development, career advancement and technological advancement.

World Malayalee Council Organize an international network of Malayalees of different ages. 

The World Malayalee Council aims to create a cultural awakening in the Malayalee diaspora community around the world and to cultivate in them an open mind to bring out the essence of all cultures that lead to world harmony.

വേൾഡ് മലയാളി കൗൺസിൽ ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള താൽപ്പര്യമുള്ള  മലയാളികൾക്ക് അവരുടെ പാരമ്പര്യമായി ലഭിച്ച സമ്പന്നമായ സംസ്കാരവും സാമ്പത്തിക, രാഷ്ട്രീയവും സാമൂഹികവുമായ മൂല്യങ്ങൾ ഉയർത്തിക്കാട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് അവരുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക, രാഷ്ട്രീയ, സാമൂഹിക വളർച്ചയ്ക്കും മികച്ച ധാരണയ്ക്കും പുതിയ സാധ്യതകൾ തുറക്കുന്നതിന് ഒരു മീറ്റിംഗ് പോയിന്റ് നൽകുക.

വികസ്വര, വികസിത രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ മലയാളികളുടെ അനുഭവപരിചയവും വൈദഗ്ധ്യവും സംരംഭകത്വവും തമ്മിലുള്ള ചലനാത്മകമായ ബന്ധം സുഗമമാക്കുന്നതിന് വേൾഡ് മലയാളി കൗൺസിൽ, മലയാളി സമൂഹത്തെയും പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് കേരള സംസ്ഥാനത്തെയും ഉത്തേജിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന്.

വേൾഡ് മലയാളി കൗൺസിൽ, ആഗോള തലത്തിൽ മലയാളികളുടെ കഴിവുകൾ, കഴിവുകൾ, ഇന്റലിജൻസ് എന്നിവ കണ്ടെത്താനും അംഗീകരിക്കാനും അവരെ പ്രൊഫഷണൽ വികസനം, കരിയർ മുന്നേറ്റം, സാങ്കേതിക മുന്നേറ്റം എന്നിവയ്ക്കായി അണിനിരത്താനും.

WMC- ഗുജറാത്തു പ്രൊവിൻസിന്റെ പിറവി മഹോത്സാവം

ഗുജറാത്ത്  പ്രാദേശിക കൌൺസിൽ (GUJARAT PROVINCE) 16.4.2011- ൽ  രൂപപ്പെട്ടു.  പിന്നീട് വളരെ ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലയളവിനുള്ളിൽ അതായതു 2012 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 23 ഞായറാഴ്ച വൈകുന്നേരം 6 മണിക്ക് അഹമ്മദാബാദിലെ വിഖ്യാതമായ എല്ലിസ്ബ്രിഡ്ജിനു സമീപമുള്ള റയിക്കഠിലെ  ജയ് ശങ്കർ സുന്ദരി ഹാളിൽ ശ്രീ കൈലാസനാഥൻ IAS (Principal Secretary to Hon.CM. Gujarat)  വേൾഡ് മലയാളി കൗൺസിൽ ഗുജറാത്ത് പ്രൊവിൻസിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക   ഉൽഘാടനം നിർവ ഹിച്ചു..  പ്രസ്തുത യോഗത്തിൽ ശ്രീ ഗോപാല പിള്ള (Chairman, WMC Global Advisory Board) ഗെസ്റ് ഓഫ് ഹോണർ ആയും, ഡോക്ടർ എ.വി.അനൂപ്(Former Member & Past Global General Secretary –WMC) , ശ്രീ സിറിയക് തോമസ് (Associate Secretary WMC Global) , ശ്രീ ജോർജി കുളങ്ങര ( Chairman WMC India Region)  ഡോക്ടർ സൂസൻ ജോസഫ്( President WMC India Region)  എന്നിവരുടെ മഹനീയ സാന്നിഗ്‌ധ്യവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. തുടർന്ന് ഈ ഉത്ഘാടന ചടങ്ങിൽ വച്ച് WMC ഗുജറാത്ത് പ്രൊവിൻസിന്റെ ചാർട്ടർ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി ആയ  ശ്രീ ദിനേശ് നായർ,  ചാർട്ടർ ചെയർമാൻ ശ്രീ മോഹൻ ബി.നായർ, ചാർട്ടർ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ശ്രീ. തുളസീധരൻ TK എന്നിവരുടെ മഹനീയ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ  ചാർട്ടർ സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങുക യുണ്ടായി.

തുടർന്നുള്ള പ്രൊവിൻസിന്റെ ചരിത്ര ത്തിന്റെ ജയഭേരി മുഴക്കികൊണ്ടുള്ള ജൈത്ര യാത്രയിൽ,  ചെയർമാൻ ശ്രീ മോഹൻ ബി നായർ, പ്രസിഡന്റ് ശ്രീ എ എം രാജൻ,  ജെനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി ഡോക്ടർ ഇ.കെ.ദാമോദരൻ, ട്രഷറർ  ശ്രീ ദേവരാജ് റജി, എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്ത്വത്തിൽ  ഗുജറാത്തിലെ   നിരവധി പ്രമുഖർ നേതൃസ്ഥാന ങ്ങളിലേക്കു വന്നപ്പോൾ ഗുജറാത്ത് യൂണിറ്റ് കൂടുതൽ കരുത്താർജ്ജിച്ചു ഉന്നത ങ്ങളിലെക്കു ജൈത്രയാത്ര ഇപ്പോൾ നവംബർ 2021 – ലും  ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടി രിക്കുന്നു..
